Lead to Read Staff

Martha Parnell M. Ed.

Program Director

Martha has been a long time member of the Oilton community for the past 33 years. She and her husband Rusty have been married for 41 years and have 7 children ranging in ages 22 - 40 and 18 grandchildren ranging in ages 1 - 18.

She holds an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from TCC, a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s of Education in Reading from Northeastern State University. She is certified to teach Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education and is also a State Certified Reading Specialist.

Martha has taught in a variety of classrooms which has given her a broad perspective of the educational process. She has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade.

In 2015 Martha assumed the role of Program Director for the Lead to Read Program.

Lydia Rogers

Program Coordinator

Lydia has been a member of the Oilton community for 25 years and lives there now.

She is an avid reader and loves being a part of an organization whose mission is to help struggling readers.

Lydia has been working for the Lead to Read program since 2019.
